Oldie But Goldie: DIY

Here's another old DIY project from the summer before I left to China. I've been meaning to put it up, and now I finally have! All these fabrics were bought from Jo-Ann fabrics; that's the nearest and best thing I have here in Florida to buy any type of cloths. At the time I was really into sheer and the high-lo style. The blouse was hand beaded by me, which I did in one sitting of  6 hours straight with out any bathroom break. One-fourth of the way into the beading, I was sick and tired of it so I just wanted to finish as soon as possible. Lesson learned: I never want to do hand-beading again. Enjoy~

Top and Skirt: created and designed by me
Shoes: Mossimo
Belt: H&M

  22. I love the whole thing! The design is so pretty and creative. How long did it take you to learn to sew? and where do you get your fabric?

    1. Hello! Thank you :) Well I learned how to sew since I was about 16 years old, but I just recently actually started making whole pieces about 2 years ago. Sewing was a pretty natural instinct for me, I just used it once and got the concept. It's pretty funny because the first thing I actually ever used the sewing machine on, I was trying to sew together newspaper! It was for this "going green" fashion show.

I get my fabric mainly from Jo-Anns, that's the most basic fabric/craft store I have near here.

If you have any more questions, I'm glad to answer! ~
